Community-based approach to humanitarian response:
Project partners are given the right to participate and become part of the decision-making activities in any humanitarian or social development works affecting their lives.
The following are the humanitarian interventions of Caritas Philippines:
- Emergency relief provision
- Shelter construction, WASH (water, sanitation, hygiene provision)
- Alternative livelihoods
- Community formation and capacity building and strengthening on Humanitarian Aid including Volunteer Management, Safeguarding and Protection, Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction (CMDRR), Cash for Work, formation of Diocesan and Parish Emergency Response Teams, Community-Lead Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (CMEAL)
