Educational Assistance Program
The Educational Assistance Program (EAP) aims to support poor, vulnerable, and academically challenged students. EAP scholars are below-average students who have a strong desire to complete their studies.
This year, the EAP will expand its reach by partnering with nine new Diocesan Social Action Centers (DSACs). Beginning in the 2023 school year, the program will serve a total of 21 DSACs across Luzon and Mindanao, providing assistance to 837 scholars.
Services:
We provide educational and financial assistance not just to the scholar but also to their parents in coordination with the different programs of the DSACs.
- Regular monitoring
- Weekly tutorial sessions
- Distribution of monthly allowances (Php 1,000)
- Spiritual nourishment and personal formations
Where we are now:
Luzon: Bontoc-Lagawe, Ilagan, Infanta, Libmanan, Tarlac
Visayas: Capiz, Dumaguete
Mindanao: Cotabato, Isabela de Basilan, Jolo, Kidapawan, Marawi

Luzon: Diocese of Boac, and Diocese of Urdaneta.
Visayas: Diocese of Calbayog, Diocese of Kalibo, Diocese of Naval, and Diocese of San Carlos.
Mindanao: Diocese of Malaybalay, Diocese of Mati, and Archdiocese of Ozamis.
Community Schooling
The Alay Kapwa Community Schooling (AKCS) Program is a part of Caritas Philippines’ Alay Kapwa Legacy Stewardship Program in partnership with Magna Anima Teachers College, Unilab Foundation, Center for Integrated STEM Education, and the Diocese of Novaliches.
The AKCS Program is a church-based Alternative Learning System for Out-of-School Youth and Young Adults to help them complete Basic Education and train them in the skills that will both interest them and what are needed in the industries in their community, and secure them gainful employment.
