It is with deep concern that we are following the events in Davao City regarding the situation in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound where the Philippine National Police (PNP) is tasked to serve a warrant of arrest to Pastor Quiboloy.

We wish to appeal to all concerned that there are principles we must uphold in this situation.

First and foremost is the rule of law. We believe that due process has been observed and enough time has been given to Pasto Quiboloy to appear in hearings to prove his innocence.

It is time that he surrenders and proves his innocence in the proper forum, which are the courts of our government. We make this appeal based on the principle that no one is above the law.

To our PNP tasked to serve the warrant of arrest, we make an appeal for restraint and patience in performing their duties.

We, likewise, appeal to our government officials, elected and appointed, to act as mediators and to help maintain peace and order during this time of highly charged emotions. We ask them to help in implementing the law.

The situation is fraught with tension and volatile. Thus, it is a situation where some parties may use to sow more discord to create anarchy. This is a very real threat as we can begin to observe.

We make this call to unite and to take to task all concerned – our government officials and agencies, the KJOC community, and the public following the situation – to uphold the rule of law and to work together towards genuine unity and peace.

Let us turn in prayer to Our Lady of Antipolo, Queen of Peace and Good Voyage, and her Son, Prince of Peace, that peace and order may prevail in our country and in the KJOC compound.
