Caritas Philippines, in collaboration with the Baguio Convenio Team, hosted a Green Luzon Project Partners’ Meeting at the Hotel Veniz Session, Baguio City.
Rev. Fr. Carmelo “Tito” Caluag, Caritas Philippines’ Executive Director, opened the meeting with an inspiring message. He stressed the importance of collaboration between Caritas Philippines, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), Cáritas Española, and the four dioceses of Baguio, Ilagan, Tabuk, and Tuguegarao. He emphasized that working together through the Green Luzon Project will create a positive and lasting impact, potentially inspiring other dioceses to follow suit.
Mr. Oscar Martinez Heredia, Cáritas Española’s Asia Regional Representative, delivered a message of support to the Convenio National Team and Convenio Partners. He encouraged them to believe in the Green Luzon team’s work and stressed that despite any differences, they are united as one Convenio, working hand-in-hand for the betterment of the communities they serve.
Key highlights of the Partners’ Meeting included presentations of business plans for each chosen commodity under the Agro-Enterprise Clustering Approach. Additionally, participants reviewed and finalized first-semester reports and developed detailed implementation plans for the third quarter of year two of the project.
