(as of November 5, 2024) Caritas Philippines and the social action network are on the ground providing relief and coordinating with local partners to assess and address the needs of communities affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (#KristinePH).

Rapid Needs Assessment in Diocese of Daet Caritas Philippines, in coordination with the Diocesan Social Action Ministry of Daet, conducted a rapid needs assessment to determine the impact of Severe Tropical Storm #KristinePH on the most affected communities in Camarines Norte. Immediate needs identified include: food, potable water, sleeping kits, emergency shelter kits, shelter repair kits, medicine, hygiene/sanitation kits, alternative livelihoods, and essential household items (kitchen utensils, solar lamps). Rapid Needs Assessment in the municipalities of Milaor, Minalabac, and Gainza in Camarines Sur Several municipalities remain underwater, forcing families to set up makeshift shelters (using tents, tarpaulins, and salvaged materials) along roadways. (See Facebook post for more photos)

Caritas Philippines coordinated with UNFPA Philippines and through the referral of the UNHCR Philippines Protection Cluster, for the provision of Dignity and Adolescent kits in the province of Camarines Sur.
Caritas Germany facilitated the RNA in Caritas Diocese of Libmanan, triggering the augmentation. Warehousing and distribution will be through Caritas Diocese of Libmanan and Caritas-Caceres Naga in collaboration with ADRA Philippines. Distributions will be in coordination with the local government of the province.
